The “Disney On Ice” show has arrived and can be seen at America West Arena through February 1st. Opening night was a success despite three or four performers slipping on the slippery slope. It was great to watch the young and older members of the audience enjoy the program. Be prepared to have the time of your life. The good folks at Disney hosted A kid’s reporter day on Thursday. All the kids who attended, got a chance to play “pretend” reporter and they had a ball. Their interview subjects were several of the performers and after the “Mike” time, the kids hustled autographs and posed for pictures. It was a sight to behold. Another Disney presentation will be coming to the Arena in March. Keep reading for details. Mike Gorman, “Circus Chimera” executive, sent a note reminding me to tell the readers that the circus is coming to Anthem, Gilbert, Surprise and Goodyear in March. Circus Chimera boasts about entertaining under the “World’s Biggest Top”. Monitor Hispano will be giving tickets away, so stay tuned. .March 18, the circus travels to Goodyear ; near the Lowe’s store on McDowell Road.
Don’t forget “ Ballet Hispanico Nightclub” will hit the Scottsdale Center for the Arts stage February 19/20. Advocates of the program are describing the production as a pulsating rendering of melodious sounds and rhythms. Be prepared to fight the temptation to get up and dance.
